We got excellent value for our money at Southern Light Country House. The room was comfy and the beautiful location surrounded by trees and gardens added to the charm. The staff treated us with warmth and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

The food for breakfast could have had more variety.

greenhouse restaurant, where you can eat, is within a walking distance of the hotel. the venue was set only 1 mile to kirstenbosch botanical gardens.

Sunny balcony in our room was lovely. The staff was FRIENDLY, and we had the benefit of just 10 minutes' walk right to kirstenbosch botanical gardens. The gardens were beautiful here.

It was spacious, clean, comfortable. The food was great and the management was more than accomodating.

The surroundings of the guesthouse were beautiful, with lush gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were generally friendly and provided good service. the breakfast served was enjoyable and satisfying.

There were a few negative aspects during our stay. the hot water in the shower was not consistently hot, which was a bit disappointing.

Tap came off, sewage overflowed under our window, maid forgot towels and toilet roll, dogs barking at 6.00am and cats wandering about in food areas, dead rat on terrace, restricted parking when all rooms let, proprietor not much in evidence.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious hotel and I must say, it was absolutely outstanding. The location is perfect, nestled in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. The surrounding area is full of lush vineyards and there are even breathtaking views of the nearby Kirstenbosch. Plus, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle service that makes getting around a breeze.

This hotel is perfect for families, with a children's pool and a play area to keep the little ones entertained.

I chose Southern Light Country House because of its location near Kirstenbosch Gardens Concert Stage, a place I really wanted to visit. The hotel pleasantly surprised me with its complimentary wireless Internet access and tour/ticket assistance. I also enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet, which was delicious and offered a variety of options.

Great location, quiet and safe. Excellent breakfast with a variety of options. Friendly and helpful staff, including the manager and housekeeper. Classy and well-designed decor, comfortable mattress, and lovely garden area with pool and tennis court. Ample parking and good security.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The facilities were top-notch, including a beautiful garden, a nice pool, and a delicious breakfast. The hotel was located in a good neighbourhood, so finding restaurants and stores nearby was easy. Additionally, it was just a stone's throw away from the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, which made it super convenient to get back after the New Year's Eve concert.
